Our Why

Scalp Melanoma

Scalp melanoma is responsible for 20% of all skin cancer related deaths. The scalp is often hidden by hair and hard to monitor, making it more likely to go undetected until later stages. This is especially concerning in Australia and New Zealand, which have the highest skin cancer rates globally. Yet many of us, especially those with thinning or fine hair don’t protect their scalp, often because sunscreen feels greasy, is hard to apply, or disrupts hair health.

Zinc Powder As A UV Barrier

Zinc oxide is a mineral powerhouse known for its ability to reflect and scatter UV rays, forming a physical barrier on the skin and scalp. This helps reduce direct exposure to harsh UVA and UVB rays during everyday sun exposure.

Zinc Benefits

Zinc’s natural antimicrobial properties help reduce scalp irritation and combat the growth of bacteria, making it beneficial for maintaining a healthy scalp environment. Its soothing, non-irritating nature also makes it ideal for sensitive skin, supporting overall scalp and hair health.
